Between breath and silence unfolds a world that is not visible, yet deeply perceptible. In that vulnerable and precious moment, sound arises in my mind — an initial vibration seeking space, carrying meaning, and connecting hearts. Music does not begin with the note, but with attention: with listening to what is already present, with sensing what a piece truly longs to express.
For me, composing is a form of attentive living. In choral music, I encounter the human voice in its purest form: breath rising into sustained sound. In my music for wind band, I experience the grandeur of a shared inhalation, in which many voices together tell a single story. In chamber music, I seek an engaging interplay of lines and articulation. I hear music as though it were a horizon — broad and multicoloured — where individual lines merge into a field of sound greater than ourselves. My music does not seek great complexity, but rather narrative shaped by recognisable melodic lines. Not abundance, but clarity. It moves between silence and resonance, between simplicity and depth. It arises from a longing for simplicity, yet always with motion. I hope my compositions offer a space in which listeners feel seen and heard — where emotion and stillness meet.
After a period of silence, this place now returns to its origin: a space where music may breathe and where thoughts can unfold in tranquillity. At times, life calls for deceleration — for distance, for reorientation. Within that silence, much has grown: new ideas, new sketches, new sounds that have found their form. I have worked on refining lines, listening to what a piece truly wishes to become. Some works emerged in quiet reflection; others in periods of intense concentration and collaboration. Each piece carries its own breath, its own colour, its own story.
